Be sure to make room on your calendar March 14th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Buckeye Firearms Association has teamed up with the U.S. Sportsman’s Alliance as well as several other conservation groups to host a candidate’s forum in Columbus.

Several Buckeye Firearms Association leaders and volunteers will be on hand. This is an excellent opportunity to meet with us as well as the many Ohio candidates that will be in attendance. This is the perfect opportunity to become informed about our choices in the upcoming elections and to make our voices heard.

HB347, the concealed carry fix it bill is on the House Criminal Justice Committee schedule for Tuesday, March 7 at 10:00 AM in the Statehouse, room 116 (Note room assignment has been changed from initial announcement).

The committee will be accepting a substitute bill at this hearing and it is scheduled for a possible vote.

In a move that surprised no one, the Columbus Dispatch commended Governor Taft for threatening to veto HB347 which fixes many of the onerous provision in Ohio’s current concealed-carry law.
