Another “No Guns” Sign Comes Down
By Chris Chumita
One of the biggest complaints that Ohio concealed handgun license (CHL) holders have about Ohio’s CCW law, is the amount of businesses that are WILLINGLY forbidding concealed carry in their establishment by posting the infamous “No Guns” sign.
Often the signs are not posted due to distain for gun owners or a hatred of the Second Amendment. It is often posted due to lack of knowledge of the law, or that the store owner has been misinformed that they are required to post. One example is the Novak J F Company in Cleveland, Ohio.
Unveiling of self-defense legislation
State Senator Steve Buehrer (R-Delta) and State Representative Lynn Wachtmann, (R-Napoleon) will hold a press conference to announce the introduction of legislation that would make needed reforms to Ohio’s self-defense law, designed to give Ohioans more tools to protect their homes and their families. The two legislators will be joined by representatives of the Buckeye Firearms Association.
The event will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Grant Hearing Room (Rm. 110) of the Statehouse.
