The good news is, we won. The bad news is that three Ohio Supreme Court Justices earnestly believe that government should have the same rights as an individual citizen, and that carrying…
Palin Talks Up “Ohio-Alaskan Connection” in Buckeye State; Democrats grow fearful
By Chad D. Baus
The Washington Post is reporting that in her first solo fundraiser as the GOP vice presidential nominee in Canton, Ohio, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin highlighted what she calls “that Ohio-Alaskan connection.”
After noting that her seven-year old daughter Piper “was wearing her Ohio State cheerleading outfit” as she bounded down the stairs to welcome her home last week, the life-long NRA member made it the point that she has taken a tough line against predators (approving the shooting of wolves from helicopters), just like Ohioans target coyotes.
“It’s a pretty darn controversial thing up in Alaska, but you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do!” she declared.

Obama hopes some gun owners are willing to prostitute the Second Amendment for a paycheck
By Chad D. Baus
The past decade as brought about several visible attempts by gun grabbers to masquerade as Second Amendment advocates.
One of the more high-profile attempts was launched by Monster.com billionaire Andrew McKelvey, a former member of the Handgun Control, Inc. (HCI) board of directors. During his time at HCI, McKelvey became convinced that the words “gun control” weren’t selling to the American people, voicing his displeasure to other board members. The HCI cronies apparently saw McKelvey’s point, and in 2001 renamed themselves the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
McKelvey, however, had already moved on, having spent $12 million to create Americans for Gun Safety (AGS). But a quick visit to the Americans for Gun Safety website alerted visitors that they weren’t the least bit concerned for firearms safety. There was never any information on the website about the proper handling of firearms, safety practices on the range, or anything of the kind. A review of their legislative priorities, on the other hand, revealed the truth – that AGS was founded on the notion that Bill Clinton-style spin on the same old gun control platform could fool Americans into supporting their agenda.
AGS failed, but the idea went looking for a new home. In 2005, a group of anti-gun individuals created American Hunters and Shooters Association. From a president who has been a strong supporter of numerous anti-Second Amendment candidates, to board members who had documented involvement with other anti-gun groups like Stop Handgun Violence, Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, and HCI, it should have been clear to gun owners that AHSA was just another wolf in sheeps’ clothing.
But while pro-Second Amendment patriots have been trying to sound the alarm about AHSA ever since its inception, the group is hoping it can find a voice among a particular group of gun owners – specifically, gun owners who are willing to prostitute their Second Amendment rights (and ours) for a better paycheck.

Howard Nemerov: The Man Behind The Numbers
By Chris Chumita
Howard Nemerov is the author of the book Four Hundred Years Of Gun Control…Why Isn’t It Working? and numerous pro-gun articles. Over the past few years, his research has given gun owners the ammunition necessary to intelligently argue that gun control does not make society safer and exposed the lies behind the gun-grabber’s statistics. Despite his contributions to the gun rights movement, a majority of gun owners may not be familiar with his name, or with the depth of his work.

Buckeye Firearms Assoc. volunteer works to ensure township noise ordinance won’t infringe on gun rights
By Scott Seibert
Recently, Buckeye Firearms Association became aware of a proposed ordinance in Kingston Township (northeast Delaware County) that would seek to limit excessive noise from a multitude of sources. There were concerns in the firearms community that this ordinance was some sort of stealth gun control, as firearms discharges would apparently be controlled by this ordinance.
I had the pleasure today of speaking with Mr. Dewey Akers, the Chair for the Kingston Township Trustees, and he politely explained to me the intent and purpose of the ordinance (and yes, it passed.)
Barack Obama and John Kerry: Geese of a Feather
By Gerard Valentino
Barack Obama is on the campaign trail touting his support for the Second Amendment as an individual right to bear arms – a laughable assertion by a candidate who has tried to reshape himself as a moderate liberal once he secured the Democratic nomination for president.
Luckily, for gun owners, Obama is more concerned with power than policy so he is unlikely to go after guns because it means a certain loss at the ballot box. John Kerry’s decision to pander to hunters during the 2004 election is an infamous case of just how important the gun vote has become.
Although Obama hasn’t taken drastic measures, like staging fake goose hunting trip, to prove he won’t take our guns, there are a lot of parallels between his record and that of 2004 Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry.
Philly police chief trains people to be sheep; Complains when they won’t fight a wolf
By Jeff Riley
On Sept 10th, 2008 I watched in dumbfounded amazement a Today Show news report covering the vicious beating of an unarmed man on the Philadelphia subway.
The victim was attacked by a man wielding a hammer and took place over a 5 minute period all the while approximately ten onlookers watched but did not intervene. The surveillance video shows the attacker placing a young boy in a seat, then reaching into his backpack to retrieve a hammer. He then proceeds to, without warning or provocation to attack a nearby sleeping man by repeatedly beating him with blow after blow from the hammer.
The attack lasted 5 minutes with the victim frantically trying to ward off blows after being knocked to the ground. The attack finally stops when the train pulls into a station and the attacker exits the train. At this point with the victim seriously injured, a bystander pulls a notification alarm alerting the train operator that an emergency exists.
WARNING!!! The following video is graphic in nature and contains scenes of extreme violence.
