Ohioans For Concealed Carry is hearing from more and more businesses who are deciding AGAINST posting discriminatory signs banning CHL (concealed handgun license) -holders from their property while bearing arms for self-defense. Many of these businesses are deciding to do so after consulting with their partners, or branches, in other states which already have a concealed-carry law, and learning that the law has presented no problems.
We are also hearing from employees whose administrators are still considering whether or not to post signs, and about a few businesses who have already made the decision these discriminate their customers and/ or employees who hold a valid Ohio CHL (see Do Not Patronize While Armed).
OFCC has posted a new Extraordinary Liability Advisory, and is encouraging concerned employees and customers to distribute this Advisory when they become aware of considerations to post discriminatory signs banning CHL-holders who are exercising their constitutional right to bear arms for self-defense.
Ohio businesses will ignore this Advisory at their own risk!
