There’s an interesting — if not devious — trend emerging in some Second Amendment cases. Some lower courts in purporting to apply the Bruen test are upholding gun control laws by holding that you do not have a Second Amendment right to buy a firearm.

For many years, those who support gun control have had a huge advantage in voting because they have encouraged their supporters to vote early, either in-person or absentee by mail. This gives them significantly more time to pile up votes. Plus it helps voter activation groups focus their efforts only on those who have not voted as elections get closer. We need to stop giving them this advantage by voting early, too.

When the U.S. Supreme Court handed down its Heller decision in 2008, the court stated that entire classes of commonly owned firearms cannot be banned from legal sale and possession by law-abiding citizens. U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just called modern sporting rifles like the AR-15 “common,” saying they’re “one of the most popular semi-automatic weapons in the United States.” VIDEO

While most Americans were still trying to figure out how the failed assassination attempt on President Donald Trump came so close to being successful, at least one rabidly anti-gun extremist in Congress saw an opportunity to promote himself and his agenda to eradicate the Second Amendment.

In recent years, big-tech platforms like YouTube and Meta (the parent company of Facebook and Instagram) have imposed draconian restrictions on firearms-related content. A glaring example is McKenna Geer, a Paralympic shooter poised to represent Team USA in Paris. Instead of celebrating her triumphs, Meta chose to shadow-ban her for simply sharing sports-related content.

Gun owners should understand that Kamala Harris poses the gravest threat to their Second Amendment rights. In fact, Harris’ record suggests that she does not believe the Second Amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms at all. Moreover, Harris has repeatedly called for government confiscation of some of America’s most popular firearms.
