The second would-be presidential assassin in just two months should never have possessed a firearm because of his status as a convicted felon. Yet he was able to obtain the weapon, conduct surveillance, and establish a sniper’s hide with ballistic protection within 300-500 yards of his target, President Trump.

The first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump didn’t provide voters with much regarding the Second Amendment. But the vice president’s remark about being a gun owner drew attention.

A pair of Democrats and former lawmakers, one from Ohio and one from Michigan, on Sept. 9 introduced their organization, Black Equity and Redistricting Fund, and openly opposed state Issue 1 on the fall ballot.

A federal judge issued a ruling Aug. 30 against the Illinois Firearms Concealed Carry Act, which bans carrying concealed firearms on public transit, saying the state law violates the Second Amendment.

MUST READ: State Issue 1 on the ballot this fall is billed by its misleading proponents as a way to eliminate gerrymandering of legislative district maps in Ohio. Yet what the constitutional amendment would actually do is cause a level of gerrymandering that could obliterate our gun rights.
