No wonder he is anti-self-defense…Gov. Taft’s vacation destination of choice is our northern neighbor, the socialist playground of Canada.

COLUMBUS – Gov. Bob Taft decided not to cut short the rest of a two-week Canadian vacation during the state’s power outage, a spokesman said Friday.
Power in northern Ohio was mostly restored by late Friday afternoon after a massive blackout spread Thursday through the northeastern United States and southern Canada.
Taft, a Republican, and first lady Hope Taft are on an annual trip to a family vacation home north of Quebec city, spokesman Orest Holubec said. They planned to return next week.
“There was no compelling reason for him to return,” Holubec said.
During his vacation, Taft delegated important duties to Lt. Gov. Jennette Bradley.
In October 2001, Taft delayed a planned trade mission to Germany because of security concerns after the Sept. 11 attacks.
In March 1997, then Gov. George Voinovich flew home early from a two-week trade mission to Korea, Taiwan and Australia because of devastating floods in southern Ohio.
In 1993, Voinovich delayed a European trip because of the riot at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility.
