In the wake of yet another home invasion in which the victim was able to defend himself with a firearm, Dayton’s NBC affiliate gave Buckeye Firearms Association’s Joe Eaton the opportunity to explain Ohio’s law on self-defense, also known as Castle Doctrine.
In related coverage of the Dayton incident, WHIO, Dayton’s CBS affiliate, reported that the 18-year-old home invader “had a troubled past.”
Police said that as a juvenile the teen was suspected of several thefts. They added that, at this time, all of the evidence points toward the homeowner acting in self-defense.
